We are so tremendously blessed here as the congregation of Jefferson Street Methodist Church. The Lord has graced us with a faithful, Spirit led body of believers, provided us with a harmonious, completed disaffiliation process, and gifted us with this spectacular church facility which the congregation now owns for the first time. This is an extraordinary and gracious honor we have been given from our Lord.
This church we have so much affection for, which has such a heritage, the Lord has deemed it to be ours. We are now free. We are free to continue in our ministry here, in this place we yearn to be. This is our gift, our reward, our blessing.
However, this bequeathing comes with great responsibility.
To whom much is given much is expected. We have been called to be the stewards of this place we call home. Everything we have done has led us to this opportunity. Our faithful courage brought us here, our faithful generosity will see the task through. We give joyously, trusting in the Father of lights who does not change, for He faithfully will anoint all we contribute and will multiply it. - Will Wilkerson
