MISSIONS

THE NATCHEZ COMMUNITY STEWPOT provides hot meals to the Natchez
community seven days a week. Jefferson Street Methodist Church not only supports the
Stewpot financially, different groups in the church serve food on the third Sunday of each
month.
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY is a nonprofit organization that helps families build and
improve places they call home. JSMC has been involved with Habitat financially and
helping with construction of new houses for many years.
THE CHILDREN'S ADVOCACY CENTER participates in the lives of children and
families in crisis by providing them with justice, hope, and healing in a supportive environment. JSMC  supports the center financially and with needs throughout the year. The Jefferson Street Methodist Women take snacks monthly for the children.
THE NATCHEZ LITERACY PROJECT is an online book fair to purchase books for local kids in PreK through third grade. Books are free to the children to take home and keep. Renee' Wall, a JSMC member, started this project and in 2023 JSMC partnered with her to help make this project grow.
SAMARITAN'S PURSE OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD SHOEBOXES

is a project that partners with the local church worldwide to share the Good News of Jesus
Christ and make disciples of the nations. JSMC has a year round collection for shoeboxes
that ends with a church wide packing party and fellowship.
THE CHURCH HAS LEFT THE BUILDING is an opportunity for all of the congregation of JSMC to put their faith into action. Different groups leave the church and take their faith and belief in Jesus Christ and the Church and put it into action with our neighbors and community.
MENTORS FOR PUBLIC SCHOOL is a service provided to local school children who need tutoring.

Wesley Foundations at Alcorn, Miss. State, Ole Miss and Southern Miss.
Camp Kamassa in Crystal Springs, Miss. This is a camp dedicated solely to children and
adults with special needs.
Almost Home Behavioral Health Ministries, Jonesville, LA. This is a non-profit
organization that provides spiritual and physical opportunities for families who need
guidance and love.
